Sales of the new 2006 Audi A6 3.2L Avant Quattro might well exceed their expectations.
Unlike in Europe, where wagons are more than simply popular, North American buyers are still sceptical and are more likely to go for Sport Utility Vehicles as their main choice. Yet Audi seems pretty confident in the success of their new 2006 Audi A6 3.2L Avant Quattro, due out in March/July 2005. And with the growth in the number of wagons in US and the recent rise in the gasoline prices.
At a first glance, the new Audi is considerably larger than the old Avant, which means more space, and is equipped with a bigger grille, slick LED taillights at the rear and curve headlights that peer around the corner. It is also much lighter than its predecessors since major suspension pieces have been made of aluminium.
As far as the interior goes, Audi certainly keeps up the tradition of style, elegance and comfort. Apart from usual attributes you would expect from a luxury car, the standard features include leather seats, sunroof, dual-zone climate control, front seats heating, metal and wood trimmings and many more. The cargo area is spacious, ranging from 20 cubic feet with rear seats upright to 50 cubic feet with all the seats down, and if you buckle the main floor cover forward you will get a luggage securing wall.
The direct-injection 3.2-litre V6 is wonderful and is easily spinning out 252hp and 243lb-ft of torque. The engine is responsive, smooth and the six-speed Tiptronic transmission and Quattro all-wheel-drive are all great stuff.
All in all, at an estimate New car price of $46.000 2006 Audi A6 3.2L Avant Quattro is a beautifully built, quality car perfect for that active lifestyle.
